Library
Public research library
The complete public research corpus of Standards Body: foundational sources, the eight foundation papers, institutional-design proposals, essays, and explainers. Every record states its type, version, status, review state, and release date, links to downloadable artifacts with checksums, and is subject to recorded correction, supersession, and withdrawal. Released versions are preserved without silent edits. This page is the project’s canonical publication index.
All records are research and institutional-design work published under Standards Body’s project-level authority over its own publications. Nothing here is an adopted standard, a certification criterion, or a regulatory requirement. See Authority and Nonauthority; how the work is produced and stood behind is disclosed in Methods and AI assistance. New readers can follow the Start here guide.

Explainers
-
An Evaluation Is Not an Audit
Public explainer · Released July 17, 2026
Current5 min readterminologyassurance
Evaluation, testing, and audit are different activities with different evidence. Confusing them changes what a result actually shows.
-
Certification Is Not Accreditation
Public explainer · Released July 17, 2026
Current5 min readterminologyassurance
Certification attests that requirements were met. Accreditation recognizes that a body is competent to assess. The words are routinely swapped, and the swap misleads.
-
Assurance Is Not a Safety Guarantee
Public explainer · Released July 17, 2026
Current5 min readterminologyassurance
Assurance provides bounded confidence from evidence. It never provides certainty, and passing an evaluation is not proof of safety.
